Desa Varia Agung Kecamatan Seputih Mataram termasuk desa rawan pangan. Oleh karena itu pemanfaatan lahan pekarang untuk budidaya ikan gurame diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengatasi kerawanan pangan. Pemberdayaan masyarakat di desa varia besar sudah berjalan selama 4 bulan. Kelompok pembudidaya ikan gurame yang telah mengikuti program budidaya ikan gurame dan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan dapat meningkatkan produksi, pemanfaatan lahan yang sempit, sehingga dapat memperoleh penghasilan yang cukup besar. Komunitas yang berpartisipasi adalah 10 orang. Ada dua pendekatan: pendekatan teknis dan partisipatif. Berdasarkan pelatihan pemberdayaan kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang budidaya ikan mas dari 25% menjadi 92%. Oleh karena itu pembudidaya ikan gurame memiliki kemampuan dalam budidaya ikan mas dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan.
Community Economic Empowerment through Land Use Programs for Gurame Fish Cultivation
Abstract
The village of Varia Agung Seputih Mataram sub-district is a food-prone village. Therefore, the use of pekarang land for Gurame fish farming, is expected to be an alternative to overcome food insecurity. Community empowerment in the village of great varia has been running for 4 months. The cultivation groups who have participated in the Gurame fish farming program and utilize the lands of the yard can increase the production, utilization of narrow land, so as to earn substantial income. The participating communities are 10 people. There are two approaches: technical and participatory approaches. Based on the training in the empowerment of this activity successfully increased knowledge about carp culture from 25% to 92%. Therefore, carp cultivators have the ability in carp culture by utilizing the yard land.
