Socialization and Practice of Processing Coconut Cooking Oil based on SNI 3741:2013 Quality Standard for Residents in Gondoruso Village, Pasirian Lumajang https://journal-center.litpam.com/index.php/linov/article/view/766 <p>Gondoruso village, Pasirian Lumajang has many coconut trees. However, the coconuts were only harvested and sold in the local market at a price of IDR 2,000-3,000/fruit. Some local residents had initiated efforts to process coconuts into cooking oil, but the resulting oil smelled rancid so they stopped it. This paper reported the results of our community service activities in assisting Gondoruso Village residents to proceed coconut into cooking oil that meets the SNI 3741:2013 quality standard. The aim was to train the residents’ skills in producing qualified coconut cooking oil so they could earn extra family income. Eight old coconuts were grated, and thick coconut milk was taken. The coconut milk was left overnight in the refrigerator to produce lumps of coconut milk. The lumps of coconut milk were taken and cooked over low heat. About 10 minutes later, the oil started to come out, and the cooking process continued for 40-45 minutes until all the oil-came out, and 550 ml of cooking oil was produced. The SNI 3741:2013 quality test revealed that the cooking oil was of very good quality because the values of 6-SNI parameters met the standard, i.e., organoleptic is liquid, clear yellow, sweet coconut, and tasteless; moisture content=0.13% w/w; acid number=0.06% w/w; peroxides number=0; the pelican oil=negative, and the linoleic acid=0.13%. Oleh karena itu, perlunya pemahaman terkait pemanfaatan teknologi dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu proses penyampaian materi ajar secara efektif. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang digunakan berupa video pembelajaran yang dapat diputar berulang – ulang oleh siswa dirumah sampai materi tersebut dipahami. Video pembelajaran diharapkan berisikan materi yang telah diringkas sehingga durasinya tidak terlalu lama, memiliki kualitas audio yang jelas, serta transisi atau dapat ditambahi dengan musik agar lebih menarik dan tidak membosankan. SMP Negeri 30 Palembang selaku mitra ingin meningkatkan kreativitas sekaligus kompetensi guru mata pelajaran dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang menarik khususnya dalam bentuk video pembelajaran Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan editing video yaitu Shotcut. Aplikasi ini dianggap paling relevan untuk digunakan karena selain memiliki fitur-fitur yang lengkap, mudah dipahami, tidak berbayar dan video hasil editing tidak dibubuhi watermark layaknya aplikasi editing video gratis lainnya. Pelaksanaan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui kegiatan berupa workshop yang diikuti oleh seluruh guru mata pelajaran. Setelah kegiatan terlaksana diperoleh hasil bahwa seluruh peserta telah memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membuat video pembelajaran sedangkan untuk pengetahuan dan keterampilan editing video menggunakan Shotcut telah dikuasai oleh 70% peserta. Hasil tersebut diperoleh karena fasilitas yang diperlukan belum memadai, sehingga direkomendasikan kepada mitra untuk melakukan pengadaan fasilitas yang dapat digunakan secara bersama bagi guru mata pelajaran dalam membuat media pembelajaran.</p> <p><strong><em>The Learning Video Editing in SMP Negeri 30 Palembang</em></strong></p> <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p><em>The learning process is carried out with the help of technology to reduce physical contact, which is considered one of the causes of the rapid spread of the covid-19 virus. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the use of technology in creating learning media that can help deliver teaching materials effectively. One learning media used is a video that students can rewind at home until they understand the materials. Learning video is expected to contain summarized materials so that the duration is not too long, the audio quality is clear, and there is a transition or music to make the video more interesting and fun. SMP Negeri 30 Palembang, as a partner, wanted to increase the creativity and the competence of teachers in compiling and developing interesting learning media, especially learning videos. One of the applications that could be used to edit videos was Shotcut. Shotcut is considered the most relevant application because it not only has complete features but is also easy to understand and free. Besides, the edited video is not watermarked like other free video editing applications. Implementing the Community Partnership Program was carried out through a workshop that all teachers attended. After the activity was carried out, it was found that all participants had acquired the knowledge and skills to make a learning video. Knowledge and skill of video editing using shortcuts had also been mastered by 70% of the participants. These results were obtained because the required facilities were not adequate. Abrasi yang mengenai jalan by pass Kolaka yang berhadapan dengan Teluk Bone dapat direduksi oleh mangrove sebagai tanggul alami. Mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Geografi FKIP USN Kolaka perlu mempraktekkan upaya penanaman mangrove sebagai upaya untuk untuk meningkatkan kepedulian lingkungan pesisir dan pantai. Pelaksanaan penanaman melibatkan 15 mahasiswa, 5 instruktur, dan 12 panitia yang merupakan tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat penanaman pohon mangrove. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan membersihkan lingkungan pesisir dan pantai dari sampah, menanam, dan merawat 200 pohon mangrove. Mahasiswa merasakan manfaat dalam hal mengasah karakter peduli lingkungan pesisir dan pantai dengan melakukan praktek langsung dan mengkaitkan dengan mata kuliah terkait. Kegiatan dapat dijadikan role model dan kegiatan rutin bagi perusahaan yang memiliki dampak kepada lingkungan sekitar.</p> <p><em><strong>Mangrove Planting in The Kolaka By Pass Beach for Construct Students Coastal and Beach Environment Awareness</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong>Abstact</strong></em></p> <p><em>The coastal and coastal environment is maintained by the presence of mangrove plants. Abrasion on the Kolaka by-pass road facing Bone Bay can be reduced by mangroves as natural embankments. S1 students of Geography Education FKIP USN Kolaka need to practice mangrove planting efforts to increase awareness of the coastal and beach environment. The implementation of the planting involved 15 students, five instructors, and 12 committees who were a community service team for planting mangrove trees. Activities carried out by cleaning the coastal and beach environment from garbage, planting, and caring for 200 mangrove trees. Students feel the benefits of honing the character of caring for the coastal and beach environment by doing direct practice and linking it with related courses. Solusi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan analisis situasi dan permasalahan yang terdapat di mitra yaitu melalui budidaya ikan lele Mutiara dengan metode Shipon termodifikasi. Metode Siphon sangat bermanfaat untuk mengurangi endapan ammonia di dasar kolam lele yang bersumber dari kotoran ikan dan sisa pakan. Kadar ammonia dalam air akan sangat menentukan kesehatan ikan, jika dapat diturunkan maka kualitas air juga akan lebih sehat untuk ikan lele. Tujuan dari PkM yaitu meningkatkan ketahanan pangan dan ekonomi warga masyarakat khususnya KWT Mekar Jannah dan pemanfaatan lahan terbatas untuk kegiatan yang produktif. Tahapan kegiatan PkM dibagi menjadi empat yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, pemeliharaan dan pemasaran. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui kuesioner dengan instrumen berupa angket. Jumlah responden yaitu 30 anggota KWT Mekar Jannah. Hasil pengukuran keberdayaan yaitu warga sasaran memberikan penilaian sangat baik pada semua aspek meliputi: kejelasan perolehan transfer teknologi (93%), keunggulan metode shipon dibanding metode konvensional (91,67%), peningkatan pengetahuan mitra (92,50%), peningkatan kemampuan mitra (80,83%), manfaat yang diperoleh (89,17%), komitmen peserta (96,67%), transfer keterampilan (95,83%), meningkatkan pendapatan warga (95,83%). Berdasarkan hasil angket tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PkM telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan, dan warga sasaran memiliki komitmen terkait keberlanjutan program.</p> <p><strong><em>Modified Shipon-based Pearl Catfish Cultivation as an Effort to Improve Community Economy</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p> <p><em>The problems partners encounter are KWT business capital, the experience of pearl catfish cultivation, maintenance of pearl catfish, fish waste management, fish diseases, treatment of fish diseases, marketing, and post-harvest processing. The solution offered is based on analyzing the situation and problems found in partners, namely through Pearl catfish cultivation with the modified Shipon method. The Siphon method is beneficial for reducing ammonia deposits at the bottom of catfish ponds sourced from fish waste and leftover feed. Ammonia levels in the water will significantly determine the health of fish, and if they can be lower, the water quality will also be healthier for catfish. The purpose of the PkM is to improve food security and the community's economy, especially KWT Mekar Jannah, and limit land use for productive activities. The stages of PkM activities are divided into preparation, implementation, maintenance, and marketing. The data collection technique is through a questionnaire with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The number of respondents is 30 members of the Mekar Jannah KWT. The results of the empowerment measurement are that the target citizens gave an excellent assessment on all aspects, including clarity of technology transfer acquisition (93%), the superiority of the Shipon method compared to conventional methods (91.67%), increased partner knowledge (92.50%), increased partner capabilities (80.83%), the benefits obtained (89.17%), the commitment of the participants (96.67%), the transfer of skills (95.83%), increasing the income of the residents (95.83%). The questionnaire results show that PkM activities have achieved the predetermined success indicators, and the target residents are committed to the program's sustainability.</em></p> Moh. Tidak jarang masyarakat cenderung lalai akan antisipasi bahaya yang disebabkan oleh listrik. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang kelistrikan, khususnya penanganan listrik ketika terjadi bencana. Konsleting listrik merupakan hal nyata yang akan dihadapi saat banjir terjadi. Di mana banjir yang terjadi di Desa Dringu beberapa tahun terakhir ini menjadi perhatian khusus. Karenanya, dibutuhkan kesigapan serta kerjasama antar warga dan pemerintah serta PLN sebagai perusahaan penyedia listrik. Melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), mahasiswa Universitas Panca Marga Probolinggo mengadakan kegiatan sosialisasi kelistrikan. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dihadiri oleh RT, RW, dan Kader PKK Desa Dringu dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 25 orang. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mengedukasi masyarakat sekitar tentang pemasangan instalasi listrik rumah tangga dengan prosedur pemasangan yang benar sesuai standar SNI dan PUIL, dan pencegahan serta penanganannya agar meminimalisir kecelakaan dan dampak yang dapat ditumbulkan pra dan pasca bencana banjir terjadi. Melalui kegiatan penyuluhan ini juga dilakukan pengukuran tingkat pemahaman masyarakat menggunakan metode <em>System Usability Scale </em>(SUS). Didapatkan hasil yaitu sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan, rata rata tingkat pemahaman masyarakat sebesar 63,6 dan dapat dikategorikan kurang paham dan kurang tanggap. Sedangkan hasil pengukuran pasca penyuluhan, rata-rata tingkat pemahaman masyarakat meningkat menjadi 94,5.</p> <p>Kata Kunci: Banjir, Konsleting, Keamanan Listrik, <em>System Usability Scale</em> (SUS)</p> <p><strong><em>The Measurement of Electricity Understanding for Flood Prone Area Society in Dringu Village Using System Usability Scale Method</em></strong></p> <p><em>Three hazards caused by electricity, namely electrocuted (electric shock), explosion, and heat or fire. Not infrequently people tend to ignore the anticipation of the dangers caused by electricity. This is due to the public's lack of understanding about electricity, especially handling electricity when a disaster occurs. Electrical short circuit is a real thing that will be faced when a flood occurs. Wherein the flood that occurred in Dringu Village in the last few years has received particular concern. Therefore, it takes alertness and cooperation between citizens and the government as well as PLN as an electricity supply company. Through </em><em>Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) activities, the student of Panca Marga University of Probolinggo has held electricity socialization program. </em><em>T</em><em>he</em> <em>program </em><em>was attended by RT, RW, and PKK Cadres of Dringu Village with total 25 participants. </em><em>This program is expected to be able to educate the surrounding community about the installation of household electrical installations in accordance with the correct procedures according to SNI and PUIL, and prevention as well its handling in order to minimize the accident and the impact that can be caused before and after the flood disaster occurs. Pengolahan sampah menjadi produk yang lebih berguna mulai aktif dilakukan seperti menjadikan sampah untuk energi, kompos, pupuk atau sebagai bahan baku dalam industri. Sampah organik dapat diolah menjadi <em>Eco enzyme</em> yang memiliki manfaat ganda. Cairan <em>Eco enzyme</em> ini multifungsi dan aplikasinya dapat meliputi rumah tangga, pertanian dan juga peternakan. Program ini bertujuan menjadi solusi untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih (<em>Zero Waste</em>) sekaligus untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan ini mengenalkan inovasi alat fermentor eco enzyme yang dapat digunakan lebih efektif. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah dengan pelatihan yang dilakukan secara langsung dan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan pembuatan eco enzyme dengan menggunakan eco fermentor dan pembuatan handsanitizer. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman mitra dalam produksi handsanitizer. Handsanitizer yang dihasilkan selanjutnya diuji efektivitasnya dalam membunuh bakteri. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dilanjutkan oleh mitra Bank sampah dalam memproduksi handsanitizer sehingga dapat meningkatkan ekonomi.</p> <p><em><strong>Workshop on the production of Eco enzyme as a Hand Sanitizer in Improving the Economy of the Village Community of Lembah Damai</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong> Abstract</strong></em></p> <p><em>Nowadays, waste has begun to be seen as a resource that has economic value. Processing waste into more valuable products has started to be actively carried out, such as making waste for energy, compost, fertilizer, or as raw material in the industry. Organic waste can be processed into Eco enzyme, which has multiple benefits. This Eco enzyme liquid is multifunctional, and its applications can include households, agriculture, and livestock. This program aims to be a solution to create a clean environment (Zero Waste) as well as to improve the economy of the surrounding community. This activity introduces an innovative eco-enzyme fermenter that can be used more effectively. The method of implementing the action is through training which is carried out directly and followed by assistance in making eco enzymes using an eco fermenter and hand sanitizer. This activity resulted in an increased understanding of partners in the production of hand sanitizer. The hand sanitizer produced is then tested for its effectiveness in killing bacteria. Ragamnya indikator kinerja yang ada selama ini mempengaruhi penentuan dimensi kinerja organisasi yang kadangkala tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan organisasi. Untuk hal tersebut maka diperlukan sebuah pelatihan penyusunan konsep dimensi organisasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan organisasi atau kemampuan organisasi dalam rangka mencapai tujuan organisasi secara maksimal. Permasalahan mitra tersebut menjadi dasar dilakukannya pelatihan penyusunan konsep dimensi indikator kinerja berdasarkan kemampuan manajerial sumber daya manusia. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan menggunakan <em>focus group discussion </em>(FGD) mengikut sertakan seluruh ASN yang berada di Kantor Badan Kesatuan Bangsa, Politik dan Perlindungan Masyarakat Kota Kupang yang berjumlah 39 ASN. Setiap peserta diminta untuk menginventarisir prediktor (faktor) yang menjadi dimensi dan indikator yang mempengaruhi kinerja berdasarkan persepsi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diperoleh 30 faktor yang dianggap sesuai dengan kinerja organisasi. Setelah itu, diuji SPSS menggunakan analisis faktorial untuk menentukan determinasi dari ragam faktor yang ada. Hasilnya, mitra mampu menentukan dimensi dan indikator kinerja yang sesuai dengan lingkungan kerjanya yang terdiri atas 12, yaitu (1) fisibilitas; (2) komprehensif; (3) ekonomi; (4) perhatian; (5) relevansi; (6) efisiensi; (7) kontrolabilitas; (8) produktivitas; (9) akuntabilitas; (10) ketangguhan; (11) responsibilitas; dan (12) sarana prasarana.</p> <p><strong><em>Training on the Compilation of Employee Performance Dimensions at National Unity Agency, Politics and Community Protection Kupang City Government</em></strong></p> <p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p> <p><em>The purpose of this training is to improve the ability of the State Civil Apparatus (Acronym in Indonesia: ASN) in identifying, analyzing, and drafting the concept of ASN performance dimensions based on organizational needs. The variety of performance indicators that exist so far affect the determination of organizational performance dimensions and indicators which are sometimes not in accordance with the needs of the organization. For this reason, training in the preparation of the concept of organizational dimensions is needed in accordance with the needs of the organization or the ability of the organization to achieve organizational goals to the fullest. The partner's problems became the basis for training on the drafting of the concept of performance indicator dimensions based on the managerial ability of human resources. The method of service implementation is carried out using focus group discussions (FGD) involving all ASN in the Office of the Badan Kesatuan Bangsa, Politik and Perlindungan Masyarakat of Kupang City, totaling 39 ASN. Each participant was asked to make an inventory of the predictors (factors) that became the dimensions and indicators that affect performance based on perceptions. Based on this, obtained 30 factors are considered in organizational performance. After that, SPSS was tested using factorial analysis to determine the determination of the various existing factors. Akan tetapi banyaknya hasil pertanian bawang merah ini tidak diimbangi oleh pengelolaan bawang merah yang lebih kreatif dan inovatif. Desa Randupitu memiliki potensi unggulan berupa petani bawang merah, yang dimana bawang merah ini bisa menjadi inovasi baru dengan mengolah bawang merah menjadi produk kreatif yang memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi. Dengan adanya ekonomi kreatif bisa menjadi salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi di desa, dengan adanya ekonomi kreatif diharapkan akan lahir sebuah ide cemerlang untu membuat sesuatu yang baru yang dapat bernilai jual yang tinggi. Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) memberikan inovasi dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam bidang ekonomi di Desa Randupitu dengan memberikan program sosialisasi dan implementasi ekonomi kreatifpada tahun 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif desriptif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah produk abon bawang goreng diharapkan bisa dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Desa Randupitu untuk dijual sebagai produk dengan ciri khas Desa Randupitu.</p> <p><em><strong>Community Empowerment Through Optimizing the Creative Economy of Fried Shredded Onion Products in Randupitu Village, Gending District, Probolinggo Regency</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p> <p><em>The people of Randupitu Village mostly work as farm laborers because this village has good regional potential in growing crops, especially shallots. However, many of the results of this shallot farming are not supported by creative and innovative shallots. Randupitu Village has excellent potential in the form of shallot farmers, where shallots can be a new innovation by processing shallots into creative products that have high selling value. With the creative economy, it can be a strategy to increase village economic growth, with the creative economy, it is hoped that a bright idea will be born to make something new and worth selling high. Real Work Lecture (KKN) students provide innovation in solving economic problems in Randupitu Village by providing a socialization program and implementation of the creative economy in 2022. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. Ditinjau dari aspek pengembangannya ternak kambing sangat potensial bila diusahakan secara komersial, hal ini disebabkan ternak kambing memiliki beberapa kelebihan dan potensi ekonomi antara lain tubuhnya relatif kecil, cepat mencapai dewasa kelamin, pemeliharaannya relatif mudah, tidak membutuhkan lahan yang luas, investasi modal relatif kecil, mudah dipasarkan sehingga modal usaha cepat berputar. Strategi komunikasi pemasaran merupakan salah satu cara mengenalkan produk pada konsumen dan mendapatkan keuntungan yang banyak dari usaha yang dijalankan. Judging from the aspect of development, goats are very potential when cultivated commercially, this is because goats have several advantages and economic potential, including relatively small bodies, quickly reaching sexual maturity, relatively easy maintenance, does not require large land, relatively small capital investment, easy to market so that business capital rotates quickly. Marketing communication strategy is one way to introduce products to consumers and get a lot of benefits from the business being run. Each marketing communication strategy has its own advantages and disadvantages. Sains melibatkan matematika sebagai alat dalam mengolah data, sedangkan teknologi dan teknik merupakan aplikasi dari sains. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan kepada guru IPA pada lingkup MGMP di kota Banjarmasin sudah mengenal pembelajaran STEM, namun diantaranya masih kesulitan dalam merencanakan dan mengintegarasikan STEM pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas terutama dengan menggunakan sumber belajar disekitar lingkungannya. Adapun pendampingan dilakukan pada seluruh guru IPA yang termasuk dalam MGMP IPA dengan jumlah 35 orang. Metode pengabdian dilakukan sebagai berikut : (1) melaksanakan focus group discussion pada beberapa guru pada perwakilan MGMP untuk menggali pembelajaran IPA di SMP atau sederajatnya. (2) melaksanakan bimbingan teknis mengenai STEM yang diikuti oleh seluruh anggota (3) merencanakan pembelajaran IPA berbasis STEM dalam bentuk RPP (4) mengevaluasi dan (5) revisi hasil RPP yang dikembangkan oleh guru selama program berlangsung. RPP yang dihasilkan sudah memenuhi aspek dalam indikator, namun pada kelompok guru yang lain belum memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan terutama pada aspek penilaian STEM dan lingkungan sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan pada aspek yang belum maksimal. Pada kelompok guru terkategori sangat baik pada RPP yang dikembangkan hal ini terlihat rerata 85.5% sedangkan 5 kelompok lainnya yakni tergolong Baik. Hasil pengembangan yang dilakukan dapat dijadikan prototype dalam pembelajaran STEM.</p> <p><em><strong>Assistance Planning Science Learning with a STEM Approach in Banjarmasin</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p> <p><em>STEM is science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM is a combination of 4 disciplines that are related to each other. Science involves mathematics as a tool in processing data, while technology and engineering are applications of science. Based on survey conducted to science teachers community in Banjarmasin. The teacher already know about with STEM learning, but they still have difficulty planning and integrating STEM in science learning in the classroom, especially by using learning resources around their environment. The method of service is carried out as follows: (1) carrying out focus group discussions on several teachers at MGMP representatives to find science learning in junior high schools or the equivalent. (2) implementation of STEM followed by all members teacher science community (3) planning STEM-based science learning in the form of lesson plans (4) developing and (5) revision of lesson plans developed by teachers during the program. The result showed that lesson plan has all aspects in the indikators, but a group is classified enough because of STEM and environmental assessment aspects. The other group is categorized as very good in the developed lesson plan on an average of 85.5%.
