Perbandingan Karakteristik Fisik Krim Tabir Surya Ekstrak Kulit Buah Pisang Kepok (Musa paradisiaca) dengan Variasi Fase Minyak

Paparan sinar ultraviolet (UV) secara berlebihan dapat memicu berbagai gangguan pada kulit, seperti penuaan dini, hiperpigmentasi, hingga kanker kulit. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan tabir surya sebagai proteksi kulit sangat diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan karakteristik fisik krim tabir surya berbahan dasar ekstrak kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca) dengan dua jenis variasi fase minyak, yaitu minyak zaitun (F2) dan parafin cair (F1). Tahapan penelitian mencakup pembuatan simplisia, ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70%, formulasi krim dengan perbedaan fase minyak, serta pengujian karakteristik fisik yang meliputi uji organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, daya lekat, dan viskositas. Hasil ekstraksi menunjukkan rendemen sebesar 10,33%. Formula F2 menunjukkan kestabilan pH yang lebih baik (7,33–7,67) dibandingkan F1 (8,33–8,00). Uji homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa F2 tidak mengalami pemisahan fase hingga hari ke-14, sedangkan F1 mulai menunjukkan pemisahan pada hari ke-7. Daya lekat F2 lebih tinggi (6,00±1,00 detik) dibandingkan F1 (4,66±0,50 detik), dan viskositas F2 juga lebih stabil (8026±209,33 cP hingga 8228±225,24 cP) dibandingkan F1 (7832±401,83 cP hingga 7830±364,58 cP). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa minyak zaitun lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kestabilan dan kualitas fisik krim tabir surya. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF), uji toksikologi, serta stabilitas sediaan dalam jangka panjang guna memastikan keamanan dan efikasi produk secara menyeluruh.
