Analisis Pengetahuan dan Sikap Konservasi Siswa terhadap Ekowisata Bagek Kembar, Pulau Lombok

Abstract

Bagek Kembar merupakan kawasan yang memiliki biodiversitas tinggi dan potensi besar untuk pengembangan ekowisata berkelanjutan. Namun keberhasilannya sangat bergantung pada pengetahuan dan sikap konservasi masyarakat, terutama generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan dan sikap konservasi siswa terhadap kawasan ekowisata Bagek Kembar di Pulau Lombok, Indonesia. Penelitian kuantitatif ini melibatkan 310 siswa dari Sekolah Dasar (SD), Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), dan Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mencakup informasi demografi, pengetahuan, dan sikap konservasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan konservasi siswa masih rendah dengan rata-rata penguasaan sebesar 39.49%. Pengetahuan tentang mangrove paling banyak diketahui, diikuti oleh ekowisata, dan terakhir konservasi lingkungan. Sumber pengetahuan utama adalah guru dan pengalaman langsung di lapangan. Sikap konservasi siswa tergolong tinggi, dengan rata-rata skor 3.16. Analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap konservasi. Adapun faktor-faktor yang secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap konservasi siswa di antaranya umur, lama tinggal dan tingkat pendidikan. Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya edukasi lingkungan yang lebih efektif dan berbasis pengalaman untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap konservasi siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup pengembangan program pendidikan lingkungan yang lebih komprehensif dan integratif, serta perlunya pendekatan holistik yang tidak hanya fokus pada aspek tertentu seperti mangrove, tetapi juga mencakup seluruh spektrum konservasi dan ekowisata. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada literatur akademik mengenai ekowisata dan pendidikan lingkungan serta dapat menjadi acuan bagi perumusan kebijakan dan implementasi program edukasi konservasi yang lebih baik di Indonesa.
