Abstract

Penanaman nilai karakter dalam pendidikan jasmani masih menjadi tantangan di sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam membentuk sikap sosial, kecerdasan emosional, dan kecerdasan spiritual siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani berbasis Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) dalam membentuk karakter siswa. Model dikembangkan melalui pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) Borg & Gall dan diuji melalui dua tahap: uji coba terbatas dan uji coba skala besar. Sampel terdiri dari 29 siswa SD pada uji terbatas dan 54 siswa pada uji skala besar. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket sikap sosial, kecerdasan emosional, dan spiritual yang telah divalidasi dan reliabel. Analisis data menggunakan uji N-Gain dan ANOVA satu jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model TPSR efektif meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional dan spiritual secara signifikan (p < 0,05), sementara peningkatan sikap sosial belum signifikan secara statistik. Temuan kualitatif melalui observasi dan refleksi mendukung adanya peningkatan perilaku tanggung jawab, kesadaran diri, dan empati siswa. Kesimpulan penelitian menyatakan bahwa model TPSR layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran jasmani sebagai pendekatan pedagogis yang membentuk karakter siswa secara holistik. Rekomendasi ditujukan pada perluasan konteks implementasi, integrasi lintas mata pelajaran, serta pengembangan instrumen otentik dan dukungan pelatihan guru untuk keberlanjutan pembelajaran berbasis nilai.
