Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan performa antara domba Dorper dan Merino yang diberikan formula pakan yang sama. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Peternakan Amani Farm, Karanganyar, selama satu bulan menggunakan 12 ekor domba (6 Dorper dan 6 Merino) dengan pakan terdiri dari 60% konsentrat dan 40% hijauan. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan (Feed Intake/FI, g/ekor/hari), pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH, g/ekor/hari), dan feed conversion ratio (FCR, tanpa satuan). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji T dengan tingkat signifikansi ?=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa domba Dorper memiliki FI lebih tinggi (39,58 g/ekor/hari) dibandingkan domba Merino (37,97 g/ekor/hari), PBBH lebih tinggi (63,7 g/ekor/hari) dibandingkan Merino (55,9 g/ekor/hari), serta FCR lebih rendah (22,01) dibandingkan Merino (24,23). Perbedaan tersebut signifikan pada tingkat ?=0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa domba Dorper lebih unggul untuk program penggemukan dengan kondisi pakan yang sama.
