Studi Perhitungan dan Pemilihan Rekomendasi Penurunan Susut Teknis pada Jaringan Tegangan Menengah PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Semarang

Kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia terus meningkat seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk dan aktivitas ekonomi. Kondisi ini menuntut PT PLN (Persero) sebagai badan usaha milik negara di bidang kelistrikan untuk menjaga keandalan sistem tenaga listrik sekaligus meminimalkan kerugian energi akibat susut. Susut energi listrik, khususnya susut teknis, berpotensi menimbulkan kerugian finansial yang signifikan apabila tidak dikendalikan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung besarnya susut energi listrik serta menganalisis alternatif perbaikan guna menurunkan susut teknis pada sistem distribusi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Formula Jogja untuk menghitung susut teknis pada jaringan tegangan menengah (JTM) dan transformator distribusi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sistem distribusi PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Semarang. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa susut teknis pada JTM sebesar 2,19%, lebih tinggi dibandingkan susut teknis pada transformator yang sebesar 1,55%. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, penelitian difokuskan pada penurunan susut teknis pada JTM. Alternatif perbaikan yang diterapkan adalah penambahan 15 penyulang baru. Hasil simulasi perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa penambahan penyulang tersebut mampu menurunkan susut teknis JTM sebesar 0,48%, dari 2,19% menjadi 1,71%. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan penyulang merupakan strategi teknis yang efektif untuk menurunkan susut energi pada jaringan tegangan menengah dan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi sistem distribusi listrik PT PLN (Persero).
Electricity demand in Indonesia continues to increase along with population growth and economic activities. This condition requires PT PLN (Persero), as the state-owned enterprise in the electricity sector, to maintain the reliability of the power system while minimizing energy losses caused by power losses. Electrical energy losses, particularly technical losses, can lead to significant financial impacts if not properly controlled. This study aims to calculate the magnitude of electrical energy losses and to analyze improvement alternatives to reduce technical losses in the distribution system. The research employs the Jogja Formula approach to calculate technical losses in the medium-voltage network (MVN) and distribution transformers. The study was conducted on the distribution system of PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Semarang. The results indicate that technical losses in the medium-voltage network reach 2.19%, which is higher than the technical losses in distribution transformers at 1.55%. Based on these findings, the study focuses on reducing technical losses in the medium-voltage network. The proposed improvement strategy involves the addition of 15 new feeders. Simulation results show that the addition of these feeders reduces technical losses in the medium-voltage network by 0.48%, from 2.19% to 1.71%. In conclusion, the addition of feeders is an effective technical strategy for reducing energy losses in medium-voltage distribution networks and improving the efficiency of PT PLN (Persero)’s electricity distribution system.
