Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran PBL berbantuan PhET Simulation dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Siswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan PhET Simulation dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gas ideal pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi-eksperimen dan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAS Ma’arif Peundeuy Kabupaten Garut pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026 dengan subjek penelitian dua kelas XI IPA yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman konsep yang dirancang berdasarkan indikator Taksonomi Bloom Revisi pada ranah kognitif C1 (mengingat), C2 (memahami), C3 (menerapkan), dan C4 (menganalisis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata–rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas (Sig. < 0,05). Selain itu, hasil analisis N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 0,70, sedangkan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 0,16. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan PhET Simulation efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika yang bersifat abstrak, khususnya pada materi gas ideal.
