Penerapan Quizizz sebagai Media Evaluasi untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif pada Materi Bioteknologi

Pembelajaran Biologi masih menghadapi kendala dalam proses evaluasi yang cenderung konvensional sehingga kurang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi media evaluasi berbasis digital yang lebih interaktif melalui penggunaan Quizizz. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi Bioteknologi di kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Pamekasan melalui penerapan kombinasi evaluasi interaktif Quizizz dan tes uraian, dengan indikator keberhasilan pencapaian ketuntasan klasikal minimal 85% serta peningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 35 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes dan observasi. Pada pra-siklus digunakan 5 soal uraian. Pada siklus I, diterapkan 30 soal pilihan ganda (PG) melalui Quizizz untuk memanfaatkan penilaian otomatis dan fitur peringkat guna meningkatkan antusiasme, serta 5 soal uraian sebagai instrumen utama pembanding yang setara. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap 5 soal uraian untuk menghitung rata-rata nilai dan persentase ketuntasan klasikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif setelah penerapan Quizizz, dengan rata-rata skor uraian meningkat dari 7,68 menjadi 8,22 dan ketuntasan klasikal dari 62,85% menjadi 88,57% yang telah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan evaluasi interaktif berbasis Quizizz memberikan kontribusi deskriptif yang positif, meskipun peningkatan skor uraian juga turut dipengaruhi oleh efek latihan dari pengerjaan soal PG sebelumnya.
Biology learning still faces challenges in the evaluation process, which tends to be conventional and less capable of increasing student engagement and cognitive learning outcomes. Therefore, innovation in digital-based evaluation media is needed to make it more interactive through the use of Quizizz. This study aims to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in Biotechnology material in class XII SMA Negeri 1 Pamekasan through the application of a combination of interactive Quizizz evaluation and essay tests, with a success indicator of achieving a minimum classical mastery of 85% along with an increase in student learning activities. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model. The research subjects were 35 students. Data collection techniques included tests and observation. In the pre-cycle, 5 essay questions were used. In cycle I, 30 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) via Quizizz were applied to utilize automatic grading and leaderboard features to increase enthusiasm, along with 5 essay questions as the primary comparative instrument. Quantitative data analysis was conducted on the 5 essay questions to calculate the average score and classical mastery percentage. The results showed an increase in cognitive learning outcomes after the application of Quizizz, with the average essay score increasing from 7.68 to 8.22 and classical mastery from 62.85% to 88.57%, which met the success indicator. These findings indicate that the application of interactive evaluation via Quizizz contributes positively descriptively, although the increase in essay scores is also influenced by the practice effect from working on the MCQs beforehand.
