Efektivitas Layanan Bimbingan Karier Berbasis Teori John Holland terhadap Kemampuan Perencanaan Karier Siswa SMA

Kemampuan perencanaan karier merupakan kompetensi penting bagi siswa SMA karena berkaitan dengan kesiapan memahami potensi diri, mengeksplorasi pilihan studi lanjut, serta menentukan arah pekerjaan secara realistis. Penelitian ini melibatkan 38 siswa kelas X SMA Laboratorium Undiksha. Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas layanan bimbingan karier berbasis teori John Holland terhadap kemampuan perencanaan karier siswa SMA. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment tipe non-equivalent control group design. Hasil uji independent samples t-test menunjukkan nilai t = -7,122 dengan df = 36 (p < 0,001). Nilai Cohen's d sebesar 2,31 (interpretasi: efek sangat besar). Nilai N-Gain kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,27 (interpretasi: rendah menuju sedang). Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh layanan bimbingan karier berbasis teori John Holland, sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh layanan rutin sekolah. Nilai Cohen's d sebesar 2,31 menunjukkan efek sangat besar, sedangkan N-Gain kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,27 menunjukkan peningkatan rendah menuju sedang. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan karier berbasis teori John Holland efektif meningkatkan kemampuan perencanaan karier siswa SMA, terutama dalam membantu siswa mengenali diri dan mengeksplorasi pilihan karier secara lebih terarah.
