Pengaruh Body Weight Training dan Core Stability terhadap Kelincahan Siswa Ekstrakurikuler Bulutangkis MTs NW Assyatariah Tahun 2026

Kelincahan merupakan salah satu komponen kondisi fisik yang sangat penting dalam permainan bulutangkis karena berhubungan dengan kemampuan mengubah arah gerak secara cepat dan tepat. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian siswa ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis MTs NW Assyatariah masih mengalami keterlambatan dalam melakukan perpindahan posisi dan perubahan arah saat mengejar shuttlecock. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh body weight training dan core stability terhadap kelincahan siswa ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis MTs NW Assyatariah Tahun 2026. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 40 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling, kemudian dibagi secara acak menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Illinois Agility Test untuk mengukur kelincahan. Instrumen telah divalidasi oleh ahli dengan nilai Aiken’s V > 0,80 dan memiliki reliabilitas sangat tinggi berdasarkan uji Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC = 0,91). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene’s Test, dan Independent Sample t-Test pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua metode latihan mampu meningkatkan kelincahan siswa, namun body weight training memberikan peningkatan yang secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan core stability. Dengan demikian, body weight training dapat direkomendasikan sebagai metode latihan yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kelincahan siswa ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis MTs NW Assyatariah.
Agility is a crucial component of physical fitness in badminton, as it relates to the ability to change direction quickly and accurately. Preliminary observations indicated that some students in the MTs NW Assyatariah badminton extracurricular program were slow to shift positions and change direction when chasing the shuttlecock. This study aimed to analyze the effects of body weight training and core stability training on the agility of these students. A quantitative approach was employed using an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study involved 40 students selected via total sampling and randomly assigned to two treatment groups. The Illinois Agility Test was used to measure agility; the instrument was validated by experts (Aiken’s V > 0.80) and demonstrated very high reliability based on the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC = 0.91). Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene’s test for homogeneity, and an independent sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that both training methods improved student agility; however, body weight training yielded a significantly greater improvement than core stability training. Consequently, body weight training is recommended as a more effective method for enhancing the agility of MTs NW Assyatariah badminton extracurricular students.
