Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis status gizi dan profil kebugaran jasmani siswa-siswi MA Miftahul Huda Cendono Purwosari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan studi observasional. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 38 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan kriteria usia 16-19 tahun dan kondisi kesehatan yang baik. Pengukuran status gizi dilakukan menggunakan Body Mass Index (BMI), sedangkan kebugaran jasmani diukur menggunakan Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia (TKJI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki status gizi normal atau kurus, dengan rata-rata BMI siswa 19,54 kg/m² dan siswi 18,5 kg/m². Sementara itu, kebugaran jasmani siswa dan siswi sebagian besar berada pada kategori kurang, dengan rata-rata nilai TKJI siswa 13,1 dan siswi 11,4. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan intensitas dan kualitas kegiatan fisik, baik dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani maupun kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, untuk mendukung perbaikan kebugaran jasmani siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya perhatian terhadap keseimbangan antara status gizi dan kebugaran jasmani dalam mendukung perkembangan fisik dan akademik siswa.
Nutritional Status and Physical Fitness Profile of MA Miftahul Huda Cendono Purwosari Students
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the nutritional status and physical fitness profile of MA Miftahul Huda Cendono Purwosari students. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with an observational study design. The sample consisted of 38 students selected using purposive sampling, with criteria of being 16-19 years old and in good health. Nutritional status was measured using Body Mass Index (BMI), while physical fitness was assessed using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI). The results show that the majority of students had normal or underweight nutritional status, with average BMI values of 19.54 kg/m² for male students and 18.5 kg/m² for female students. Meanwhile, physical fitness was mostly classified as poor, with average TKJI scores of 13.1 for male students and 11.4 for female students. This study recommends increasing the intensity and quality of physical activities, both in physical education lessons and extracurricular activities, to improve students' physical fitness. The findings emphasize the importance of balancing nutritional status and physical fitness to support students' physical and academic development.
