Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pemetaan kondisi psikologis atlet MMA, khususnya agresivitas dan kecemasan, dalam menghadapi pertandingan daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat agresivitas dan kecemasan atlet IBA MMA NTB pada Kejurda NTB 2022. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel berjumlah 30 atlet putra senior yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria pernah mengikuti pertandingan. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Aggression Questionnaire dan subskala kecemasan DASS-42. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa agresivitas atlet dominan berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 17 atlet atau 56,7%, sedangkan kecemasan dominan berada pada kategori rendah sebanyak 25 atlet atau 83,3%. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa atlet memiliki agresivitas adaptif dan kecemasan yang relatif terkendali.
Aggressiveness and Anxiety Levels of IBA MMA NTB Athletes at the NTB Regional Championship
Abstract
This study was motivated by the importance of mapping MMA athletes’ psychological conditions, particularly aggressiveness and anxiety, in regional competition. The study aimed to determine the aggressiveness and anxiety levels of IBA MMA NTB athletes at the 2022 NTB Regional Championship. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 30 senior male athletes selected using purposive sampling based on the criterion of having previous competition experience. The instruments used were the Aggression Questionnaire and the anxiety subscale of DASS-42. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency and percentage. The results showed that athletes’ aggressiveness was dominantly in the moderate category, with 17 athletes or 56.7%, while anxiety was dominantly in the low category, with 25 athletes or 83.3%. The study concludes that athletes demonstrated adaptive aggressiveness and relatively controlled anxiety.
