Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana Gelanggang Olahraga 17 Desember Mataram, seperti keterbatasan pemeliharaan, kelengkapan fasilitas yang belum merata, dan penataan kawasan yang masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen sarana prasarana, kelengkapan fasilitas, kendala pengelolaan, dan strategi pengembangan GOR 17 Desember Mataram. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan informan 15 orang, terdiri atas pengelola, pengguna fasilitas, dan pengunjung. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan, staffing, dan pengawasan telah berjalan, tetapi belum optimal. Beberapa fasilitas masih membutuhkan perbaikan dan pemeliharaan. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa GOR memiliki potensi sebagai pusat olahraga masyarakat dan prestasi.
Management of Facilities and Infrastructure at the 17 Desember Sports Arena Mataram
Abstract
This study was motivated by the suboptimal management of facilities and infrastructure at the 17 Desember Sports Arena Mataram, including limited maintenance, uneven facility completeness, and area arrangement requiring improvement. This study aimed to analyze facility and infrastructure management, facility completeness, management constraints, and development strategies at the 17 Desember Sports Arena Mataram. A descriptive qualitative method was used, involving 15 informants consisting of managers, facility users, and visitors. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that planning, organizing, directing, staffing, and controlling functions had been implemented but were not yet optimal. Several facilities still required improvement and regular maintenance. The study concludes that the sports arena has strong potential as a center for community and achievement sports.
