Pandangan Kepala Sekolah terhadap Kompetensi Mengajar Guru Penjasorkes di Kecamatan Kota Tambolaka

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum meratanya kompetensi mengajar guru Penjasorkes, khususnya pada aspek pedagogik, profesional, kepribadian, dan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan kepala sekolah terhadap kompetensi mengajar guru Penjasorkes pada satuan pendidikan SD/MI, SMP/MTs, dan SMA/SMK/MA di Kecamatan Kota Tambolaka. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Responden penelitian adalah 34 kepala sekolah yang dipilih menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket tertutup 25 butir dengan skala Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan frekuensi, persentase, mean, dan standar deviasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan 50% kepala sekolah memberikan pandangan positif dan 50% memberikan pandangan kurang positif. Kompetensi kepribadian memperoleh penilaian positif tertinggi sebesar 79,41%, sedangkan kompetensi profesional terendah sebesar 50,00%. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kompetensi profesional guru Penjasorkes perlu diperkuat.
Principals’ Views on the Teaching Competence of Physical Education Teachers in Kota Tambolaka District
Abstract
This study was motivated by the uneven teaching competence of Physical Education teachers, particularly in pedagogical, professional, personality, and social aspects. This study aimed to determine principals’ views on the teaching competence of Physical Education teachers at elementary, junior secondary, and senior secondary schools in Kota Tambolaka District. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach. The respondents were 34 principals selected using total sampling. The research instrument was a 25-item closed questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that, overall, 50% of principals expressed positive views, while 50% expressed less positive views. Personality competence received the highest positive rating at 79.41%, while professional competence received the lowest rating at 50.00%. The study concludes that Physical Education teachers’ professional competence needs to be strengthened.
