Porat tahun 2024. Kesimpulannya, latihan Stop and Go berhubungan dengan peningkatan dribbling, tetapi peningkatan praktisnya kecil. Pelatih disarankan mengombinasikannya dengan latihan permainan.
The Effect of Stop and Go Dribbling Training on the Dribbling Ability of PS. Porat Players
Abstract
This study was motivated by the low dribbling ability of PS. Porat players, particularly in controlling the ball while stopping, reaccelerating, and changing tempo under defensive pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Stop and Go dribbling training on the dribbling ability of PS. Porat players in 2024. This research used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 22 active players selected using total sampling. The research instrument was a cone-based dribbling test, with performance measured in seconds. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality testing, homogeneity testing, and a paired-sample t-test. The results showed that the mean pretest score was 10.8073 seconds and the mean posttest score was 10.7868 seconds, with t = 3.902 and p = 0.001. In conclusion, Stop and Go training was associated with improved dribbling ability, although the practical improvement was small. Coaches are recommended to combine it with game-like training.
