Kecemasan sebelum bertanding dapat mengganggu konsentrasi, koordinasi, kepercayaan diri, dan pengambilan keputusan atlet voli putri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kecemasan atlet voli putri se-Kabupaten Lombok Timur sebelum bertanding. Penelitian menggunakan desain survei deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel terdiri atas 50 atlet voli putri dari lima sekolah/tim yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen berupa angket kecemasan olahraga 22 item dengan skala Likert empat pilihan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa mean, median, standar deviasi, skor minimum, skor maksimum, frekuensi, dan persentase. Hasil menunjukkan mean 58,58, median 57,50, standar deviasi 13,333, skor minimum 34, dan skor maksimum 88. Sebanyak 26% atlet berada pada kategori agak rendah, 42% agak tinggi, dan 32% tinggi. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kecemasan atlet secara umum berada pada kategori agak tinggi.
Pre-Competition Anxiety Level of Female Volleyball Athletes in East Lombok Regency
Abstract
Pre-competition anxiety may disrupt concentration, coordination, self-confidence, and decision-making among female volleyball athletes. This study aimed to identify the anxiety level of female volleyball athletes in East Lombok Regency before competition. A descriptive quantitative survey design was used. The sample consisted of 50 female volleyball athletes from five schools/teams selected through purposive sampling. The instrument was a 22-item sport anxiety questionnaire using a four-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, median, standard deviation, minimum score, maximum score, frequency, and percentage. The results showed a mean score of 58.58, median of 57.50, standard deviation of 13.333, minimum score of 34, and maximum score of 88. A total of 26% of athletes were in the slightly low category, 42% in the slightly high category, and 32% in the high category. The study concludes that athletes’ anxiety was generally in the slightly high category.
