Comparison of Lob Shoot and Lob Stop-Shoot Training on Futsal Players’ Shooting Accuracy
Abstract
Low shooting accuracy among Stangkas FC players in Pringgasela Village is a major performance issue because inaccurate shots reduce scoring opportunities and may increase the risk of opponent counterattacks. This study aimed to compare the effects of lob shoot and lob stop-shoot training on futsal players’ shooting accuracy. A quantitative approach with a two-group pretest-posttest design was used. The sample consisted of 20 players divided into lob shoot and lob stop-shoot groups through ordinal pairing based on pretest scores. The research instrument was a futsal goal-target shooting accuracy test. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test. The results showed that the mean scores of both groups increased descriptively, but the improvements were not statistically significant in either group. The between-group test also showed no significant difference. Therefore, both training methods can be used as shooting variations, but neither was statistically proven superior.
