Remaja putri sangat rentan mengalami anemia.
Anemia Preventive Education and Iron Folic Acid Suplement Distribution to Adolescent Girl in Kampung Tematik Budaya Depok
Adolescent female is a group that is prone to anemia. Anemia in adolescent female harms daily performance and even the future generation of the nation. From brief interviews with 10 young women, it found that all of them did not have adequate knowledge regarding anemia, proper nutrition, and eating patterns, and iron folic acid supplement (IFAS). This is seen as an urgency to conduct education about anemia and provide iron supplements. The preventive education activity was held in the Depok Cultural Thematic Village and attended by 32 young women. Materials regarding anemia, the impact of anemia on young women, and how to prevent anemia through regular regulation of nutritional patterns and regularly taking iron supplements were well understood by the participants. A brief experience-sharing session on diet and anemia by student representatives of the Midwifery Study Program at Gunadarma University and selected participants was also carried out as material reinforcement. By the end of this preventive education program, each participant received one strip of IFAS and a leaflet. After this project, we hope that adolescent girls who have participated will be the agents of change and contribute to the success of the “Healthy, Beautiful and Smart without Anemia” campaign for the many other young women they meet.
