Socialization and Training on Prevention of Worm Infection at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School,
The province of West Kalimantan, during the 2022 period, did not achieve full coverage of the School-Age Children Mass Drug Administration (POPM). The program faced several challenges, including poor hygiene and sanitation behavior, the impact of the ongoing pandemic on the implementation of the POPM, and limited availability of medication. Therefore, there is a need to improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene practices to support the elimination/eradication of neglected tropical diseases. Furthermore, raising awareness and providing training can contribute to preventing worm infections. The results of these activities demonstrate an improvement in students' knowledge scores before and after the implementation of hygiene promotion and training. It is expected that regular hygiene promotion and training sessions will be conducted by primary school children, covering various topics and training materials.
