Sampah merupakan permasalahan yang sangat meresahkan bagi masyarakat mulai zaman dahulu hingga kini. Penggolongan sampah meliputi organik dan non organik. Non organik khususnya plastik sangat sulit terdaur ulang. Oleh karenanya keberadaan sampah plastik di tengah-tengah masyarakat yang semakin banyak menjadikan perhatian untuk menemukan bagaimana cara pengolahannya yang tepat dan tidak menyebabkan kerugian bagi lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian adalah membuat pemberdayaan masyarakat terkait pengolahan sampah plastik di era digital dan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat Banjarejo, Kota Madiun terkait dengan pengolahan sampah plastik pada 25 anggota bank sampah. Metode yang dipakai dalam pengabdian adalah melakukan survei lokasi dan masyarakat anggota bank sampah, pelaksanaan sosialisasi, pengumpulan sampah plastik dan pelatihan, pembuatan dan pengenalan digital market. Hasilnya adalah 25 anggota Bank Sampah Sedoro Asri Banjarejo sebagai mitra sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pengabdian. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah meningkatkan kerja sama dengan pemerintah setempat dengan konsep PENTAHELIX, atau multi pihak, unsur pemerintah, akademisi, badan dan atau pelaku usaha, masyarakat atau komunitas, dan media massa berkolaborasi serta berkomitmen untuk mencapai tujuan yang sama.
Recycle Plastic Waste in the Digital Era to Maintain Environmental Aesthetics in Madiun City
Garbage is a very troubling problem for people from ancient times until now. The classification of waste includes organic and non-organic. Non-organic, especially plastic, is very difficult to recycle. Therefore, the existence of plastic waste in the midst of society is increasingly making attention to find out how to process it properly and not cause harm to the environment. The purpose of the service is to empower the community regarding the processing of plastic waste in the digital era and provide education to the people of Banjarejo, Madiun City regarding the processing of plastic waste for 25 members of the waste bank. The method used in the community service is to survey the location and community members of the waste bank, carry out outreach, collect plastic waste and train, create and introduce digital markets. The result is that 25 members of the Sedoro Asri Banjarejo Garbage Bank as partners are very enthusiastic in participating in the service. The recommendation given is to increase cooperation with the local government with the PENTAHELIX concept, or multi-stakeholders, elements of government, academia, agencies and or business actors, communities or communities, and the mass media collaborate and are committed to achieving the same goals.
