Preventive Efforts to Prevent Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Pematang Panjang Village, Seruyan Hilir Timur District
One of the communities impacted by the spread of the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) virus as a result of the increase in DHF cases in East Seruyan Hilir District, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, is Pematang Panjang Village. Controlling the spread of dengue fever is mostly dependent on preventive measures. A variety of tactics can be used in preventive actions, such as mosquito vector control, public outreach and education, case monitoring, and clean-up initiatives. We conduct outreach regarding the practice of creating ovitrap and the prevention of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) as a kind of community service. The purpose of this outreach is to promote environmental protection and cleanliness among the general public and students, to educate them about dengue fever prevention and control in order to stop the spread of dengue mosquito vectors, and to manufacture Ovitrap in order to maximize prevention efforts to stop dengue fever and lower the population of dengue mosquito vectors. Participatory Action Research (PAR) is the approach employed to address this issue. It may be inferred from the dengue prevention socialization activities and ovitrap making instruction that the participants felt more prepared to deal with the disease and impart knowledge to pupils and the larger community.
