Literasi Kesehatan: Edukasi “Bijak dalam Konsumsi Obat dan Makanan pada Anak” di Kecamatan Panyileukan Kota Bandung

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi kesehatan ibu-ibu Tim PKK dan Posyandu di Kecamatan Panyileukan Kota Bandung, terutama dalam penggunaan obat dan pemilihan makanan yang bijak untuk anak-anak. Program ini melibatkan 30 peserta yang terdiri dari ibu-ibu PKK dan kader Posyandu. Metode yang digunakan adalah workshop edukasi "Bijak Konsumsi Obat dan Makanan pada Anak", yang dilaksanakan secara luring dengan menggunakan media audio visual dan metode ceramah. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang literasi kesehatan. Sebelum edukasi, rata-rata skor pengetahuan mereka adalah 7.467 dengan total skor 224 poin. Setelah edukasi, rata-rata skor meningkat menjadi 8.433 dengan total skor 253 poin. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi yang diberikan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta tentang penggunaan obat yang aman dan pemilihan makanan bergizi bagi anak-anak. Rekomendasi dari program ini adalah untuk melanjutkan kolaborasi dengan Kelurahan Cipadung Kidul, Dinas Kesehatan Kota Bandung, dan Puskesmas setempat untuk memperluas cakupan edukasi literasi kesehatan ke seluruh kelurahan di Kota Bandung. Selain itu, diharapkan edukasi literasi kesehatan ini dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan untuk memastikan peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan.
Health Literacy: Education "Wisely Consuming Medicine and Food for Children" in Panyileukan District, Bandung City
This Community Service Program aims to enhance the health literacy of PKK (Family Welfare Movement) and Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post) mothers in Panyileukan District, Bandung City, particularly regarding the wise use of medicine and food selection for children. The program involved 30 participants, comprising PKK mothers and Posyandu cadres. The method used was a workshop titled "Wise Consumption of Medicine and Food for Children," conducted offline using audio-visual media and lecture methods. The program results showed an improvement in participants' knowledge of health literacy. Before the education, their average knowledge score was 7.467 with a total score of 224 points. After the education, the average score increased to 8.433 with a total score of 253 points. This increase indicates that the education provided was effective in enhancing the participants' understanding of safe medication use and selecting nutritious food for children. The recommendation from this program is to continue collaboration with Cipadung Kidul Village, the Bandung City Health Office, and local health centers to expand the scope of health literacy education to all villages in Bandung City. Additionally, it is hoped that this health literacy education can be conducted continuously to ensure sustainable improvement in community health.
