Optimization of Public Service Video Usage as Initial Initiation for Beginners Voters
This program aims to enhance the political awareness and participation of first-time voters in Sanur Kauh Village by optimizing public service announcement (PSA) videos. The program's partners include the local community, village government, and community leaders. Implementation involved strategic planning, PSA production, distribution through social media and local communities, and direct outreach. Results showed significant improvement in the community's understanding of election processes, voting rights, and active participation, particularly among first-time voters. The video-based approach effectively addressed challenges in accessing formal political education. The program's conclusion highlights the success of contextual visual media in increasing political engagement. Recommendations include developing more interactive content, expanding distribution, and adapting the program to other regions to strengthen local and national democracy.
