English Language Educational Content Creation Training at Orphanages.
The English Language Educational Content Creation Training at an Orphanage in Surabaya aims to enhance the English language skills of children in the orphanage through enjoyable learning methods and a communicative approach. The implementation method involved intensive workshops that provided training and mentoring for the orphanage teachers in using innovative teaching media and methods. The partner involved in this program is an orphanage in Surabaya, which accommodates children with limited access to education. Data collection instruments included observations, field notes, as well as quizzes and evaluation tests to measure students' understanding before and after the training. The training results showed a significant improvement in students' English language skills, with the average score increasing from 60 to 80 and an N-Gain of 0.50. The conclusion from this training is that the applied teaching methods were effective in enhancing students' English skills, although improvements are needed in the use of technology and time management. Recommendations for future training include increasing technological mentoring for teachers and adjusting materials for students who face difficulties with audio-based learning. This training has the potential to be replicated in other orphanages with adjustments based on local needs.
