Transformation of Scientific Writing in the Digital Age: A Study of Ethics and Techniques for Using AI Software
Scientific writing requires a deep understanding of writing structure, the use of technology, and proper academic ethics. Therefore, utilizing AI software in the writing process is essential to improve the efficiency and quality of scientific papers. The aim of this activity was to enhance the skills of the participants in applying ethical guidelines and intelligent techniques in utilizing AI software for scientific writing. The method employed was training, involving 60 students from various undergraduate programs. Evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire with four questions focusing on the participants' level of understanding. The evaluation results revealed an improvement in participants' understanding of various aspects of scientific writing. The average scores achieved were 82.33% in the indicator of paper and scientific writing structure, 89.00% in the use of ChatGPT prompts, and 81.00% in the use of other AI tools such as Scispace, Gemini, and Scite. These findings suggest that the training successfully enhanced the participants' ability to effectively utilize AI software for scientific writing.
