Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 tidak menyurutkan semangat dari banyak kalangan masyarakat untuk tetap beraktivitas. Akan tetapi faktanya, informasi terkait pandemi COVID-19 mengalami mispersepsi dan tidak sedikit masyarakat mempercayai infodemics yang tersebar luas di sekitarnya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pemahaman bagi para siswa dan guru untuk turut mengambil peran dalam memerangi pandemi COVID-19, salah satunya dengan mampu mengidentifikasi dan meluruskan berbagai infodemics terkait COVID-19 dengan pembuktian secara ilmiah yang diliterasi dalam bentuk desain infografis yang informatif dan menarik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 Juni 2020 yang diikuti oleh total peserta sebanyak 56 orang melalui diskusi virtual dan pelatihan contoh penyusunan desain infografis COVID-19 yang benar, menarik dan informatif dengan tahap kegiatan antara lain: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan ini merupakan  wujud kerjasama antara SMAN 10 Makassar (siswa dan guru) dengan Jurusan Biologi UIN Alauddin Makassar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu para siswa dan guru telah mampu mengidentifikasi kebenaran ilmiah dari berbagai berita COVID-19 yang tersebar dan selanjutnya berita tersebut dipilah dan disusun dalam bentuk desain infografis untuk disebarkan kepada masyarakat melalui berbagai media. Pengabdian ini menghasilkan output berupa infografis edukasi COVID-19 kepada siswa dan guru untuk turut berperan dalam pemutusan penyebaran virus penyebab pandemi COVID-19.

Education and Training on COVID-19 Infographic Design for Students and Teachers of SMAN 10 Makassar.

The COVID-19 pandemic has not dampened the enthusiasm of many people to stay active. Information related to the COVID-19 pandemic has experienced misperception, and not a few people believe the infodemics that is widespread around it. This activity aims to provide educating and learning for students and teachers to take part in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is by being able to identify and rectify various infodemics related to COVID-19 with scientifically literate proof in the form of informative and exciting infographic designs. This training was carried out on June 11, 2020, which 56 participants attended through the virtual discussion and training examples of correctly, engaging, and informative COVID-19 infographic designs. Activity stages, including preparation, implementation, and evaluation of activities. This activity is collaborative learning between SMAN 10 Makassar (students and teachers) and the Department of Biology, UIN Alauddin Makassar. The results showed that students and teachers have been able to identify the scientific truth of various COVID-19 news that has spread. Then, the pieces of information are sorted and compiled in the form of infographic designs to be disseminated to the public through multiple media. This service produced output in the form of COVID-19 educational infographics for students and teachers to play a role in ending the spread of the virus that causes the COVID-19 pandemic.
