Pemanfaatan Kartu Warna Untuk Menyelesaikan Permasalahan Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel Di SMP Islam Riyadul Mukhlisin

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membantu siswa menemukan cara menyelesaikan persamaan linear satu variabel melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berupa Kartu Warna. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebagai respons atas hasil observasi pada 10 Maret 2025 yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami materi tersebut. Persamaan yang digunakan meliputi bentuk x+b=cx + b = cx+b=c dan ax+b=cax + b = cax+b=c, dengan a, b, dan c merupakan bilangan bulat. Dalam penggunaan kartu, warna hijau mewakili variabel, kuning untuk konstanta positif, dan merah untuk konstanta negatif. Kegiatan difokuskan pada penjelasan cara penggunaan kartu serta pemberian tugas kelompok. Respon siswa terhadap metode ini sangat positif, ditunjukkan oleh antusiasme mereka selama kegiatan berlangsung. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari pretest ke posttest, yakni dari 61,23 menjadi 95,43. Hasil uji N-Gain sebesar 0,8 menunjukkan bahwa media Kartu Warna efektif dalam pembelajaran persamaan linear satu variabel.
The Use of Color Cards to Address One-Variable Linear Equation Problems at SMP Islam Riyadul Mukhlisin
The objective of this activity was to help students discover effective strategies for solving one-variable linear equations through the use of Color Cards as a learning medium. This initiative was carried out in response to observations conducted on March 10, 2025, which revealed that students struggled to understand the topic. The targeted equation forms included x+b=cx + b = cx+b=c and ax+b=cax + b = cax+b=c, where a, b, and c are integers. In this method, green cards represented variables, yellow cards indicated positive constants, and red cards denoted negative constants. The activity involved explaining how to use the Color Cards and assigning group tasks to be solved with the cards. Students responded positively, as shown by their enthusiasm during the sessions. Moreover, there was a significant improvement in their test scores, with the average increasing from 61.23 (pretest) to 95.43 (posttest). The N-Gain score of 0.8 further confirmed the effectiveness of Color Cards in supporting students' understanding of linear equations.
