Pelatihan Upskilling Pengembangan Produk Inovatif untuk Pandai Besi di Desa Mekarmaju Kabupaten Bandung

Desa Mekarmaju, Kabupaten Bandung, dikenal sebagai salah satu sentra pengrajin pandai besi tradisional. Namun, seiring perkembangan zaman, para pengrajin menghadapi tantangan dalam hal inovasi produk. Minimnya kemampuan dalam berinovasi menjadi salah satu alasan produk mereka kalah bersaing dengan produk industri modern. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat ini, Tim Telkom University akan menyelenggarakan pelatihan upskilling yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengrajin dalam berinovasi dan memasarkan produk secara efektif. Pelatihan ini mencakup materi tentang tata cara mendesain produk yang inovatif beserta cara marketing yang tepat. Dari data pre-test dan post-test, didapatkan hasil bahwa pemahaman warga atas inovasi produk naik dari 60 persen menjadi 69,7 persen. Dari peningkatan pemahaman ini diharapkan program ini dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk pandai besi Desa Mekarmaju di pasar lokal maupun nasional di masa depan.
Upskilling Training for Innovative Product Development for Blacksmiths in Mekarmaju Village, Bandung Regency
Mekarmaju Village in Bandung Regency, is known as a center for traditional blacksmithing. However, as time goes by, the craftsmen face challenges in product innovation. Lack of innovation is one reason their products are unable to compete with modern industrial products. Through this community service program, the Telkom University Team will conduct upskilling training aimed at improving the craftsmen's ability to innovate and market their products effectively. This training includes materials on how to design innovative products and appropriate marketing methods. Pre-test and post-test data showed that residents' understanding of product innovation increased from 60 percent to 69.7 percent. This increased understanding is expected to increase the competitiveness of Mekarmaju Village's blacksmithing products in the local and national markets in the future.
