Pelatihan Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) Untuk Peningkatan Kualitas Tidur Lanjut Usia

Lamanya tidur seseorang dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia. Semakin tua usia maka semakin lama kebutuhan untuk tidurnya. Namun kenyataannya, pada lanjut usia terjadi penurunan berbagai fungsi dan kemampuan. Perubahan pada sistem saraf pusat juga mempengaruhi tidur pada lansia. Untuk memperbaiki kondisi pikiran, emosi dan prilaku manusia, diperlukan pemanfaatan kombinasi antara spiritual power dengan energy psychology untuk memperbaiki, pikiran, emosi, perilaku pada manusia. hal tersebut merupakan sistem kerja dari terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT). SEFT dilakukan dengan cara pemberian ketukan ringan di bagian-bagian tubuh tertentu. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan meningkatkan kualitas tidur lanjut usia melalui terapi SEFT. Pengabdian dilaksanakan di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Rukun Ibu Kelurahan Nanggeleng Kota Sukabumi. yang terdiri dari 12 orang lansia. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, demonstrasi dan latihan Terapi SEFT. Dari angket didapatkan hasil terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan saat sebelum dan setelah dberikan ceramah mengenai SEFT dengan nilai P-Value 0,000. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah Terapi SEFT dapat membantu dalam pemenuhan peningkatan kualitas tidur lanjut usia yang mengalami kesulitan tidur (insomnia). Direkomendasikan Terapi SEFT dapat dijadikan sebagai program rutin di PSTW Rukun Ibu dan dapat diterapkan secara mandiri pada lansia untuk mencegah insomnia dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia.
Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) Training for Quality Sleep Increase To Elderly
The length of a person’s sleep is influenced by the factor. The older the age, the longer the need for sleep. But in reality, in the elderly, there is a decrease in various functions and abilities. Changes in the central nervous system also affect sleep in the elderly. They improve the state of mind, emotions, and human behavior, it is necessary to use a combination of spiritual power with energy psychology to improve thought, emotions, and behavior in humans. It is a working system of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy. SEFT is done by giving light taps on certain body parts. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge, and understanding and improve the quality of sleep for the elderly through SEFT Therapy. The service was held at the Tresna Werdha Social (PSTW) Rukun Ibu Nanggulung Sukabumi. Consists of 12 geriatrics. The methods used in the service are lectures, demonstrations, and SEFT Therapy exercises. From the questionnaire, it was found that there was a difference in knowledge before and after being given a lecture on SEFT with a P-Value of 0.000. the conclusion of this activity is that SEFT therapy can help in improving the quality of sleep for the elderly who have difficulty sleeping (insomnia). It is recommended that SEFT therapy can be used as a routine program at PSTW Rukun Ibu and can be applied independently to the elderly to prevent insomnia and improve their quality of life the elderly.
