Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilakukan MTS Al-azhar NW Kayangan desa Sandik kecamatan Batulayar kabupaten Lombok barat NTB dengan jumlah peserta 68 orang siswa Pemelihan mitra ini didasarkan pada kesesuaian kebutuhan pengembangan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kepercayaan diri siswa sangatlah penting untuk menunjang perkembangan peserta didik. Dengan adanya sikap percaya diri, siswa mampu mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki dengan rasa berani dan yakin sehingga memberikan pengalaman yang positif dalam proses belajar. Begitu juga sebaliknya apabila kepercayaan diri siswa rendah dapat menghambat proses belajar yang dilakukan, hal ini menjadi dasar untuk melakukan penyuluhan terkait pendidikan karakter sebagai upaya meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa mengingat dalam pendidikan karakter mengandung pendidikan budi pekerti yang melibatkan aspek pengetahuan (cognitive), perasaan (feeling), dan tindakan (action), yang dapat mengarah pada penguatan diri dan mentalitas yang bermuara pada peningkatan kepercayaan diri terhadap siswa.
Character Education Extension Program to Increase Santri's Confidence
This community service was carried out on 68 students of MTS Al-Azhar NW Kayangan, Sandik Village, Batulayar District, West Lombok Regency, NTB. The selection of this subject is based on the suitability of students' self-confidence development needs in the teaching and learning process. Student self-confidence is very important to support the development of students. With a confident attitude, students are able to develop their potential with a sense of courage and confidence so as to provide a positive experience in the learning process. Vice versa, if students' low self-confidence can hinder the learning process, this becomes the basis for conducting counseling related to character education as an effort to increase student confidence considering that character education contains character education which involves aspects of knowledge (cognitive), feelings (feeling). ), and action, which can lead to self-strengthening and mentality which leads to increased confidence in students.
