Implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model Assisted with Audiovisual Media to Improve Biology Learning Outcomes Students in Senior High School 1 Lembar
Abstract
One of the problems faced by the world of education is the lack of innovation in the Biology learning process where a teacher is required to be able to create out of the box learning changes in supporting student Biology learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audio-visual media can improve students' biology learning outcomes. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used were the pretest and posttest sheets, each of which consisted of 20 multiple choice questions and entry and implementation sheets of PBL assisted audiovisual media. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 meetings. Retrieval of research data is done by using a test in each cycle. The results of this study indicate that the average student learning outcomes in cycle I is 63.4 and in cycle II the average student score has increased, namely 84.06. II, the percentage of completeness has increased to 90%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that by applying the PBL learning model assisted by audiovisual media in the learning process can improve student learning outcomes.
