Abstract

The Strategic Role of Educational Philosophy in Human Resource Development: Theoretical Insights and Global Implementation
Abstract
This study aims to analyze strategies of exclusion and inclusion of social actors in media coverage of boarding house raids conducted by the Maung Galunggung Team of the Tasikmalaya City Police. Using Theo van Leeuwen's critical discourse analysis framework, the study reveals that arrested couples and boarding house owners were excluded through passivation, assimilation, and generalization, while the police and the community were included through nomination, determination, and association. The findings indicate that these strategies reinforce social stigma against marginalized groups, legitimize authority, and foster limited social solidarity. This study contributes to critical discourse analysis by highlighting how media narratives shape moral perceptions, social dynamics, and public policy.
