Study on Comfort Aspects of Pedestrian Path in The Udayana Road Corridor, Mataram City
Abstract
Pedestrian paths are able to accommodate pedestrian comfort by considering the comfort aspects of its planning. The study focused on the pedestrian path of the Jalan Udayana corridor on the west side of the existing conditions and comfort levels by means of field surveys, data obtained from measurement results, documentation, and questionnaire distribution. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis to describe the existing conditions of the pedestrian path based on comfort aspects. calculations with a Likert scale to determine the level of pedestrian comfort. This study aims to determine the quality of the pedestrian path in the Jalan Udayana Mataram corridor. Respondents involved in this study consisted of 58 respondents seen from gender, age, last education and occupation. The results of the survey of the respondents stated that the pedestrian path of Jl. Udayana on the west side has a main function as a pedestrian container, although there are other functions such as socialization, economy, sports. The results of the physical condition scoring of the pedestrian path on the west side of Jl. Udayana stated that the pedestrian path on the west side of Jl. Udayana is comfortable in terms of sunlight, scenery, circulation, temperature, humidity, cleanliness, beauty. From the scoring, the pedestrian path on Jl. Udayana west side is stated to be quite comfortable in terms of vehicle noise, no odor, shape and quality, security from crime, lane security, accessibility and completeness of supporting facilities with a minimum score of 176 or 58.6% and a maximum score of 233 or 77.6% which means that in terms of user perception, pedestrians on Jl. Udayana on the comfortable side have almost no uncomfortable factors. Some of the uncomfortable factors include the presence of buskers, lack of crossing signs, no passenger boarding and alighting stops and at some points it feels hot during the day.
