Analisis Kualitatif Tentang Fenomena Trauma Belajar Mahasiswa: Studi Survei pada Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar

Penelitian yang mengkaji fenomena trauma belajar telah banyak dilakukan, namun studi yang secara khusus meneliti trauma belajar pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) di Universitas Mataram masih terbatas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis trauma belajar pada mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Mataram. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini melibatkan sebanyak 159 mahasiswa yang dianggap memiliki pengalaman relevan dengan topik penelitian. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket. Data yang mencakup informasi demografi, pengalaman belajar, gejala trauma belajar dan dampaknya dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa PGSD yang menjadi responden memiliki kisaran usia 17 tahun sampai dengan 22 tahun, serta IPK berada pada kategori sangat memuaskan dan cumlaude. Sebagian besar dari mereka memiliki pengalam belajar yang baik, namun pernah mengalami kesulitan atau masalah serius dalam proses belajarnya. Kesulitan atau masalah ini berupa kesehatan mental (stres, kecemasan, depresi). Selain itu, hampir seluruh mahasiswa menunjukkan adanya gejala trauma belajar. Trauma ini berdampak pada prestasi akademik, hubungan dengan teman sekelas, kesehatan mental, kehidupan sosial dan motivasi belajar. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami trauma belajar di kalangan mahasiswa dan menekankan perlunya upaya kolaboratif untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Universitas perlu meningkatkan layanan dukungan kesehatan mental dan menyediakan program pencegahan yang efektif untuk membantu mahasiswa mengelola stres dan kecemasan.
Qualitative Analysis of the Phenomenon of Student Learning Trauma: A Survey Study on the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program
Abstract
Many studies have been conducted that examine the phenomenon of learning trauma, but studies that specifically examine learning trauma in Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at Mataram University are still limited. The aim of this research is to analyze learning trauma among PGSD students at Mataram University. This qualitative descriptive research involved 159 students who were deemed to have relevant experience with the research topic. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data including demographic information, learning experiences, symptoms of learning trauma and its impact were analyzed using thematic methods. The results show that the PGSD students who were respondents ranged in age from 17 years to 22 years, and their GPA was in the very satisfactory and cum laude categories. Most of them have a good learning experience, but have experienced difficulties or serious problems in the learning process. These difficulties or problems are in the form of mental health (stress, anxiety, depression). Apart from that, almost all students show symptoms of learning trauma. This trauma impacts academic achievement, relationships with classmates, mental health, social life and motivation to learn. These findings provide an important contribution to understanding learning trauma among college students and emphasize the need for collaborative efforts to address this issue. Universities need to improve mental health support services and provide effective prevention programs to help students manage stress and anxiety.
