Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Lighting System at the Toll Road Interchange of the Outer Ring Road of Jakarta W2 North Section I
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the lighting quality at the interchange of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) W2 North Section I, focusing on the illumination levels compared to the standard lighting requirements for toll roads, which range between 15-20 lux. Based on the calculations, it was found that the illumination levels in several road sections are still below the standard. The highest illumination level, 10.1202 lux, was found on the E.PJU R7 road section with a width of 5.5 meters, while the lowest illumination level, 0.780983206 lux, was observed on the E.PJU MR IB road section with a width of 30.5 meters. The circular E.PJU R2 road section also showed non-compliance with the standards, with an illumination level of only 8.419556 lux, which is lower than the expected value. Additionally, there is a significant difference in the illumination levels at the ends of the circular road section, where the lighting should be evenly distributed. These results indicate the need for improvements in the lighting system to ensure the safety and comfort of road users.
