Strategic Approaches to Strengthen the Mental Health of Cadets X in Improving Academic and Non-Academic Performanceat MPA Level I
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the mental health of Cadets X and examine their implications for academic and non-academic performance within a semi-military educational environment. A qualitative approach was employed to explore the psychological dynamics of the cadets through in-depth interviews, observations, and institutional document analysis. The findings indicate that physical demands, high academic pressure, and strict disciplinary structures are the primary sources of stress, mental fatigue, and declining learning motivation. However, personal resilience, emotional regulation skills, and self-efficacy function as protective factors that help cadets adapt and maintain optimal performance. Peer social support also contributes to strengthening mental well-being, while the institution’s reactive support system highlights the need for a more preventive mentoring structure. This study concludes that enhancing cadets’ mental health requires structured strategies through stress management programs, proactive counseling, and resilience-based interventions to improve academic performance, physical readiness, and character development.
