Increase Students' Motivation to Learn Promiscuity Materials Through The Use of Visual Media in Class Viii G SMP Negeri 8 Banjarbaru

This study was conducted based on the problem of low student learning motivation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) lessons on the topic of promiscuity among students of class VIII G at SMPN 8 Banjarbaru. This condition could be seen from students’ low enthusiasm during lessons, minimal attention to the teacher’s explanations, a tendency to become bored easily, and the lack of active involvement in discussions and question-and-answer activities throughout the learning process. The research was designed to improve students’ learning motivation by implementing visual media in the teaching of promiscuity material. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach involving 25 students from class VIII G as the research subjects. The participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires, classroom observations, and documentation. Furthermore, the obtained data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods.The findings revealed a consistent improvement in students’ learning motivation at each stage of the research. In the pre-cycle stage, the motivation level was recorded at 56.7% and categorized as sufficient. After the implementation of actions in cycle I, the percentage increased to 72.8% with a good category, and it further improved to 87.8% in cycle II, reaching a very good category. These results indicate that the application of visual media was successful in enhancing students’ learning motivation in promiscuity material learning. Therefore, visual media can be considered an effective alternative strategy to support and improve the quality of the PJOK learning process
