Contextual Inquiry Learning dengan Kerangka Evaluasi Stufflebeam untuk Menguji Keterampilan Komputasi Terapan Mahasiswa

Penguatan keterampilan komputasi terapan menjadi salah satu tuntutan penting dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang berorientasi pada Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Meskipun berbagai pendekatan pembelajaran telah digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan tersebut, kajian yang mengintegrasikan Contextual Inquiry Learning dengan kerangka evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) Stufflebeam masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi implementasi Contextual Inquiry Learning serta mengkaji keterampilan komputasi terapan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Komputasi Terapan menggunakan kerangka evaluasi CIPP. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan evaluatif dengan model CIPP yang melibatkan 100 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes keterampilan komputasi terapan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek konteks, input, dan proses pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan nilai rata-rata berturut-turut 86,55; 87,11; dan 82,16. Pada aspek produk, skor rata-rata berpikir komputasi sebesar 75,64 dan berpikir algoritmik sebesar 78,11. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua keterampilan tersebut (p < 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kerangka CIPP mampu memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai implementasi Contextual Inquiry Learning dan capaian keterampilan komputasi terapan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan menawarkan integrasi Contextual Inquiry Learning dan evaluasi CIPP sebagai alternatif evaluasi pembelajaran komputasi yang berorientasi pada pengembangan keterampilan berpikir komputasi dan algoritmik.
Evaluating Students' Applied Computational Skills Through Contextual Inquiry Learning Using The Stufflebeam Cipp Evaluation Framework
Abstract
Strengthening applied computational skills has become an essential requirement in 21st-century learning aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Although various instructional approaches have been employed to foster these skills, studies integrating Contextual Inquiry Learning with the Stufflebeam CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation framework remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of Contextual Inquiry Learning and examine students' applied computational skills in an Applied Computing course using the CIPP evaluation framework. An evaluative research approach based on the CIPP model was employed involving 100 students from the Information Technology Education Study Program at Mandalika University of Education. Data were collected through observation and applied computational skills tests and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The findings revealed that the context, input, and process dimensions were rated as excellent, with mean scores of 86.55, 87.11, and 82.16, respectively. In the product dimension, students achieved a mean score of 75.64 in computational thinking and 78.11 in algorithmic thinking. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant difference between the two skill domains (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that the CIPP framework provides a comprehensive perspective for evaluating the implementation of Contextual Inquiry Learning and students' applied computational skills. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating the integration of Contextual Inquiry Learning and the CIPP evaluation framework as an alternative approach for assessing computational learning outcomes related to computational and algorithmic thinking.
