The Role of Institutional and Administrative Support in Improving Faculty Workload Reporting Compliance Through the SISTER Application
Abstract
The implementation of the Integrated Human Resources Information System (SISTER) in managing lecturers' workload (BKD) requires adequate institutional and administrative support to improve lecturers' compliance and timeliness in performance reporting. This study aimed to examine the relationship between institutional support and administrative support and lecturers' compliance and timeliness in completing BKD through the SISTER application. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire distributed online to 66 lecturers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram, consisting of 32 male and 34 female lecturers. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to examine the effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that the regression model had a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.099, indicating that institutional support and administrative support explained 9.9% of the variation in compliance and timeliness in completing BKD. The simultaneous test showed that the regression model was significant (p-value = 0.038 < 0.05), while the partial tests indicated that institutional support (p-value = 0.587) and administrative support (p-value = 0.188) did not have significant individual effects on compliance and timeliness in completing BKD. The study concludes that factors beyond institutional and administrative support may play a greater role in lecturers' BKD completion behavior. These findings may serve as a basis for higher education institutions to formulate policies for improving lecturers' digital competencies, optimizing the quality of the SISTER application, and strengthening mentoring and monitoring systems to improve the effectiveness of BKD management.
