This study is motivated by the low levels of discipline and frequent violations of school rules by students, which indicate that the role of interpersonal communication by Guidance and Counseling (GC) teachers in shaping students' character has not been fully optimized. The aim of this study is to describe the interpersonal communication strategies of GC teachers in shaping the character of high school students, with an emphasis on a new approach to interpersonal communication in the context of character development in secondary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and school documentation. The research subjects include GC teachers, students participating in the services, and related school authorities. The findings show that effective interpersonal communication strategies in the counseling process include empathy, persuasive appeals, and student involvement. An analysis of these strategies provides a model that can be applied in other schools. The study also identifies supporting factors and obstacles in counseling services, as well as their implications for school policies and instructional practices. These findings provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of guidance and counseling in secondary schools and offer new insights into the importance of effective interpersonal communication in shaping students' character.
