The research employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The population consisted of 49 students from Grade IV (28 students) and Grade V (21 students), using a total sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results indicate that the implementation of P5 was carried out effectively. Students’ independence was reflected in their ability to complete tasks independently, while collaborative skills were demonstrated through teamwork. Statistically, P5 had a significant effect on improving students’ independence and cooperation skills. P5 had a positive effect on independence with a significance value of 0.039 (<0.05) and an R square of 0.180 (18%). Furthermore, P5 also had a positive and significant effect on collaborative skills with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and an R square of 0.312 (31.2%). Thus, P5 has been proven effective in strengthening students’ independence and cooperative character.
