Reporting student fitness only as a composite score may conceal component-specific training needs. This study described overall physical fitness and the profile variation of five Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI) Phase D components among eighth-grade male students at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Padang. A cross-sectional descriptive design was employed. Of 35 eligible male students, 22 who attended and completed all tests were analyzed as an available-case sample; 13 students were absent and were not reassessed. The battery comprised hand-eye coordination, 30-second sit-ups, standing broad jump, the agility T-test, and the bleep test. Raw outcomes were summarized using means and standard deviations or medians and ranges, whereas ordinal scores of 1-5 were reported using medians, interquartile ranges, frequencies, and percentages. The mean total score was 14.59 ± 3.11, with a median of 15 and a range of 9-20, placing the measured group in the moderate category. The distribution included 18.18% good, 40.91% moderate, 36.36% poor, and 4.55% very poor; no participant reached the very good category. The largest proportions of poor-very poor scores occurred in the agility T-test (54.55%), standing broad jump (40.91%), and sit-ups (36.36%), while 95.45% of bleep-test results were moderate or better. These findings indicate descriptive variation across components that would be overlooked if interpretation relied only on the total score. The results provide a contextual baseline for the measured participants and may inform more targeted physical education planning and follow-up assessment, while acknowledging the non-random, single-school sample.
