Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berhitung perkalian di kelas III SDN Tanak Embang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran Batang Napier terhadap kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa kelas III SDN Tanak Embang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu tipe Non-Equivalent Group Design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 42 siswa yang dibagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes, dengan analisis data melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji hipotesis melalui independent sample T-test menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 < 0,05 dengan df 40 dan thitung sebesar 4,078 dan nilai ttabel sebesar 2,021, sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Rata-rata skor N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,8% (kategori cukup efektif). Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran Batang Napier cukup efektif terhadap kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa kelas III SDN Tanak Embang.
