Batteries in substations serve as a backup power source for DC systems during disturbances or total power outages; therefore, maintaining battery performance and service life is essential to support the reliability of substation operations. At the 150 kV Cawang Lama Substation, the Unit 1 battery has been in operation for more than 10 years but remains in an acceptable condition based on the test results. This study aims to analyze changes in battery capacity, efficiency, and specific gravity and to estimate the battery's remaining service life. Battery testing was conducted using the discharging method based on battery maintenance data. Multiple linear regression was applied to estimate the battery's service life using performance parameters obtained from the test results. The results show that in 2023, the battery had the lowest efficiency during the observation period, at 88.65%. This value remained above the efficiency limit specified by the PLN standard under SKDIR 520-2 K/DIR/2014, which is greater than 80%. The multiple linear regression analysis estimated the battery's remaining service life at 8.8 years. This prediction can be used as supporting information for battery maintenance and replacement planning. However, the prediction should be verified through periodic testing and monitoring to evaluate its consistency with the actual battery condition.
