Kegiatan pendampingan penyusunan media literasi merupakan kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan jumlah media literasi bagi peserta didik, sehingga guru maupun peserta didik mendapatkan tambahan media literasi selain buku yang disediakan oleh pemerintah. SDN Tingal 1 Blitar terletak di Blitar, Jumlah guru di SDN Tingal 1 adalah 8 orang. Pendampingan ini berfokus pada media literasi big book. Hal tersebut dilakukan karena big book ini memberikan motivasi dan kesan berbeda jika peserta didik membacanya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan produktifitas guru dalam menyusun media literasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan diantaranya ialah Workshop, Pendampingan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan ini menghasilkan karya media literasi berupa big book yang disesuaikan dengan tingkatan kelas peserta didik. Terdapat 2 big book yang dihasilkan dengan tema yang berbeda. Guru merasa produktif dan bangga atas kemampuannya dalam menyusun media literasi. Bertambahnya kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan literasi, dan kemampuan peserta didik terkait literasi juga meningkat. Guru lebih mudah melakukan kegiatan literasi bersama peserta didik menggunakan media big book. Peserta didik juga merasa lebih tertarik dan semangat dalam melakukan kegiatan literasi. Aktivitas literasi peserta didik lebih meningkat dengan menggunakan big book.
Optimizing the Productivity of SDN Tingal 1 Blitar Teachers through Assistance in Making Big Book Literacy Media
Abstract
Assistance in preparing literacy media is an activity that can increase the number of literacy media for students so that teachers and students get additional literacy media besides books provided by the government. Tingal 1 Blitar Primary School is located in Blitar, with 8 teachers at Tingal 1 Primary School. This mentoring focuses on big book literacy media. This is done because this big book provides motivation and a different impression if students read it. This service activity aims to optimize teacher productivity in developing literacy media. This service activity is carried out in several stages including workshops, mentoring, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this assistance activity produced literacy media works in the form of big books that are tailored to the grade level of students. There are 2 big books produced with different themes. Teachers feel productive and proud of their ability to develop literacy media. Teachers' ability to carry out literacy activities increased, and students' abilities related to literacy also increased. Teachers find it easier to do literacy activities with learners using big book media. Learners also feel more interested and enthusiastic in doing literacy activities. Learners' literacy activities are improved by using big books.
