Peningkatan Nilai Tambah Pengolahan dan Pemasar Abon Ikan pada Kelompok Home Industry Layang Mandiri di Kota Kendari

Aktivitas ekonomi rumah tangga yang berpotensi signifikan dalam meningkatkan nilai tambah produk perikanan lokal melalui proses pengolahan dan pemasaran salah satunya adalah usaha abon ikan skala mikro. Pengembangan pengolahan abon ikan di kota Kendari dipandang sebagai cara efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas kesempatan kerja, menumbuhkan semangat wirausaha, memajukan industri kreatif dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya perikanan, serta mendorong pembangunan infrastruktur di tingkat regional. Tujuan kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk Meningkatkan pendapatan mitra melalui pengolahan abon ikan dengan varian rasa dan kualitas produk mulai dari pengadaan bahan baku sampai pengemasan; Memperluas target pasar dan pemasaran hasil produksi. Lokasi Pengabdian ini di Laksanakan di Kelompok Layang Mandiri Kelurahan Tipulu Kota Kendari. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dimulai dari Persiapan, Sosialisasi, Pelatihan, dan Penerapan Inovasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan sejak bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2025. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan baru bagi kelompok layang mandiri yang berjumlah 11 orang dalam mengolah abon ikan untuk memberikan nilai tambah dengan varian rasa yang berbeda, menjaga kualitas produk dan memasarkan abon ikan secara luas dan kreatif salah satunya melalui media sosial. Kesimpulan pengabdian ini bahwa kegiatan yang dilaksanakan menambah pemahaman baru mengenai pengolahan abon yang berkualitas dan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan dalam mengolah dan memasarkan abon ikan layang.
Increasing the Added Value of Processing and Marketing of Fish Floss in the Layang Mandiri Home Industry Group in Kendari City
Abstract
The household economic activity with significant potential to increase the added value of local fishery products through processing and marketing includes a micro-scale fish floss business in the Layang Mandiri Home Industry Group in Kendari City. The development of fish floss production in Kendari is seen as an effective way to improve the quality of employment opportunities, foster an entrepreneurial spirit, advance the creative industry by utilizing fishery resources, and encourage regional infrastructure development. The purpose of this activity is to increase the income of partners by processing fish floss with various flavors and improving product quality, from raw material procurement to packaging. It also aims to expand the target market and marketing of the products. This community service was conducted with the Layang Mandiri Group in Tipulu Village, Kendari City. The implementation of the activities included preparation, socialization, training, and innovation implementation, and took place from July to August 2025. The results of this activity provided new understanding and skills for the 11 members of the Layang Mandiri Group in processing fish floss to create added value with different flavors. It also taught them how to maintain product quality and market the fish floss widely and creatively, for example, through social media. In conclusion, this community service activity added new understanding regarding the processing of quality shredded fish and improved the skills of the group members in processing and marketing shredded layang fish.
