Promosi Kesehatan tentang Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) pada Siswa di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 3 Lombok Tengah

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) adalah penyakit infeksi virus yang ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti, ditandai dengan demam tinggi, nyeri sendi dan otot hebat, serta ruam. Pada Tahun 2024 kasus Demam Berdarah Dangue di Lombok Tengah terjadi peningkatan dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya, ialah sebanyak 238 kasus. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dan siswi tentan pencegahan Deman Berdarah. Metode kegiatan ini meliputi beberapa tahap pelaksanaan, yaitu : a. Tahap Persiapan Tahap ini seluruh warga mengisi daftar hadir. b. Pembukaan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat Pembukaan kegiatan, dilanjutkan dengan pre test/tes awal secara verbal bagi peserta untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengetahuan peserta tentang diare dan cara penanganannya sebelum diberikan penyuluhan, c. Penyampaian materi oleh Narasumber. Materi yang disampaikan adalah mengenai pengertian, penularan, gejala, fase penyakit, derajat keparahan, pencegahan 3M dan 3M Plus dan Penanganan. Penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab. d. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan pemberian tes akhir menggunakan metode statistik analisis uji t pre-test dan post-test. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pegetahuan siswa(i) dengan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan siswa/siswi sebelum diberikan penyuluhan adalah 40.22 namun setelah diberikan penyuluhan tentang tentang DBD, rata-rata pengetahuan siswa/siswi meningkat menjadi 59.78 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat selisih atau perbedaan nilai pre-test dan post test dengan selisih 19.56 dengan nilai P Value 0.000 (P<0.005).
Improving Knowledge of Dengue Fever Prevention at State Elementary School 3, Central Lombok
Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a viral infectious disease transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, characterized by high fever, severe joint and muscle pain, and rashes. In 2024, cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in Central Lombok increased from previous years, amounting to 238 cases. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of male and female students about preventing Dengue Fever. The method of this activity includes several stages of implementation, namely: a. Preparation Stage This stage all residents fill out the attendance list. b. Opening of Community Service Activities The opening of the activity, followed by a verbal pre-test/initial test for participants to determine the extent of participants' knowledge about diarrhea and how to handle it before being given counseling, c. Delivery of material by the resource person. Delivery of material is carried out using the lecture method, the material present is about definitions, transmission, symptoms, disease stages, severty levels, 3M and 3M plus prevention and treatment. The material delivery is done through lecture and question and answer methods. d. The end of the activity ends with a final test. The result of this community service activity is an increase in student knowledge (i) with the average value of student knowledge before being given counseling is 40.22 but after being given counseling about dengue fever, the average knowledge of students increased to 59.78 so it can be concluded that there is a difference or difference in pre-test and post-test values with a difference of 19.56 with a P Value of 0.000 (P <0.005).
