Tingkat Pemahaman Penanganan Cedera Akut dengan Metode R.I.C.E. pada Pemain Bola Voli Pordest Volley Team

Cedera akut dalam permainan bola voli sering terjadi saat latihan maupun pertandingan, sedangkan pendampingan tenaga medis di klub non-profesional belum selalu tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat pemahaman pemain Pordest Volley Team tentang penanganan cedera akut dengan metode R.I.C.E. Penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 pemain yang dipilih melalui total sampling. Instrumen berupa angket pemahaman R.I.C.E. yang mencakup aspek Rest, Ice, Compression, dan Elevation. Data dianalisis menggunakan persentase dan nilai rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman keseluruhan berada pada kategori baik dengan rata-rata 79,18; sebanyak 30% pemain berkategori baik sekali dan 70% berkategori baik. Aspek tertinggi adalah Ice dengan rata-rata 86,25, sedangkan aspek terendah adalah Elevation dengan rata-rata 66,67. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pemahaman pemain sudah baik, tetapi perlu penguatan edukasi dan praktik langsung, terutama pada aspek Elevation.
Volleyball Players’ Understanding of Acute Injury Management Using the R.I.C.E. Method at Pordest Volley Team
Abstract
Acute injuries in volleyball commonly occur during training and competition, while medical assistance is not always available in non-professional clubs. This study aimed to determine the level of Pordest Volley Team players’ understanding of acute injury management using the R.I.C.E. method. This research employed a quantitative descriptive design with a survey method. The sample consisted of 30 players selected through total sampling. The instrument was a R.I.C.E. understanding questionnaire covering four components: Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. Data were analyzed using percentages and mean scores. The results showed that the overall understanding level was in the good category, with a mean score of 79.18; 30% of players were in the very good category and 70% were in the good category. The highest component was Ice, with a mean score of 86.25, while the lowest was Elevation, with a mean score of 66.67. The study concludes that players’ understanding is generally good, but further education and practical training are needed, particularly on Elevation.
