Effect of Running ABC Training on 60-Meter Sprint Speed among Pegasus NTB Athletes
Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of Running ABC training on 60-meter sprint speed among Pegasus NTB athletes. A quantitative pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was used. The sample consisted of 15 Pegasus NTB athletes who completed 14 Running ABC training sessions. The instrument was a 60-meter sprint test using stopwatch timing and video documentation to support technical observation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentage improvement, and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the mean sprint time decreased from 8.03 seconds in the pretest to 7.94 seconds in the posttest. The 0.087-second decrease indicated a 1.09% improvement in speed. The paired t-test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest, t(14) = 3.280; p = 0.005. This study concludes that Running ABC training significantly improves 60-meter sprint speed among Pegasus NTB athletes.
